There is nothing quite like live motorsport, and when the opportunity came up to attend the Kwik Fit British Touring Car Championship on the iconic Grand Prix layout at Donington Park, we jumped at the chance. Hosted by our friends at Euro Car Parts, it turned into an unforgettable day packed with racing action, behind-the-scenes access, and top-tier hospitality.

Meeting the Hosts & Getting Trackside

We arrived early at Donington Park, meeting up outside the hospitality setup with Leo from Euro Car Parts. After getting scanned in and grabbing our official passes, we headed straight inside to fuel up with some breakfast and catch up with the team.

Up Close in the Garages & Paddock

Once breakfast was sorted, it was time for the garage tours. Getting a look behind the scenes inside the pit lane is always a highlight, and getting right inside the LKQ Euro Car Parts / Power Maxed Racing garages to see the touring cars up close was incredible. Out in the surrounding paddock area, we also got up close with the British F4 single-seaters, Porsche Carrera Cup machinery, and MINI CHALLENGE cars as the teams prepped them for their sessions. Hearing the F4 engines fire up outside the garage and seeing them pull out onto pit road to join a stacked lineup of racing was brilliant to watch.

The Grid Walk Experience

A huge standout from the day was stepping out onto the start-finish straight for the official grid walk. Standing right on the tarmac alongside the race cars while the drivers and engineers prepped for the upcoming action was unreal. Feeling the pre-race tension and the noise from the packed grandstands gave us a genuine front-row view of the event.

Huge Thanks

We wrapped up the afternoon walking back to the car park after a full day of top-tier motorsport. A massive thank you to Leo and the Euro Car Parts team, as well as the LKQ BTCC crew, for hosting us and giving us such fantastic VIP access. We also want to pass along a huge shoutout to all the event staff and track marshals at Donington Park who worked hard to keep everything running safely and smoothly.

It was a brilliant day out, and we are already looking forward to the next race day!
